DRYRZ at Hertfordshire County Show 2026 What We Learned From Two Days on the Stand
Two days. Over 30,000 visitors. One stand in the third avenue by the Food Court.
Hertfordshire County Show 2026 was the first time DRYRZ had taken the full range to a public event. BambooLayer™ Recovery Joggers, BambooLayer™ Recovery Tops, DRYRZ water bottles, lanyards and branded umbrellas. Two days to find out whether the people who don't already know DRYRZ would get it as quickly as the athletes and parents who do. They did.
The Conversations
What struck us most across the weekend wasn't the sales. It was the conversations. People from hockey, rugby, swimming, running and boxing communities stopped at the stand. Some had never heard of DRYRZ. But most of them had felt the problem of that sudden chill after training stops, the damp kit, the hoodie that doesn't quite work and without ever having a name for it or a solution to it.
Explaining the fabric as bamboo towelling lining next to the skin, wind-resistant outer took about thirty seconds. After that, most people just wanted to touch them!
One of the questions that came up again and again was how DRYRZ differs from a changing robe or a standard tracksuit bottom. The answer is straightforward. A changing robe is designed to change in. DRYRZ is designed to recover in. A standard tracksuit bottom adds warmth but does not deal with moisture underneath. DRYRZ does both at the same time, from the moment you put it on.
Something else that surprised people - DRYRZ is made in the UK. That landed differently than expected. Not just interest but genuine surprise, and in a lot of cases genuine appreciation. It mattered to people in a way that felt worth noting.
The Feedback
We asked people who bought at the show to let us know any feedback. One customer who bought a pair of BambooLayer™ Recovery Joggers at the show did her swim the next day, and messaged us the same day. She told us the sizing was excellent, the bamboo lining made them easy to pull on, and that the zip-open leg was her words, "just genius". She ended by saying she would definitely be recommending them.
That kind of feedback, unprompted and within hours of purchase, is exactly what DRYRZ was built for. The moment after training is real and it matters. It's good to know the product is delivering on that.
The Award
On the second day of the show, DRYRZ was awarded a Hertfordshire County Show 2026 Trade Stand Highly Commended award. It was unexpected and genuinely meant a lot. DRYRZ is a small brand built around a real problem that real athletes face every day. To be recognised at an event like Hertfordshire County Show on our first public popup alongside established businesses and brands from across the county, felt like a meaningful moment for where the brand is heading. We were also invited to enter next year's Hertfordshire Lieutenant Entrepreneur Award. We will be sharing more on that when we have it.
What's Next
The show confirmed a few things. The product works. The story lands quickly with people who have not heard of DRYRZ before. And there is a much broader audience for post training recovery clothing than competitive swimmers and elite athletes. Anyone who trains regularly and has ever felt that chill after stopping will understand what DRYRZ does within seconds of trying them.
The BambooLayer™ Short Length Recovery Joggers pre-order closed during the show weekend and are now in production along with standard length joggers that have been out-of-stock.
